My mother reminded me recently that I have wanted to work as a television writer at least since high school, when I took the initiative to set up what I now know is called an informational interview with a producer on a national talk show filmed in New York.

Earlier this year that dormant goal of working in television has come to the surface again. A lot of us have woken up anew in the era of our current president. I found myself wondering “If THAT GUY can be president, then what’s holding me back from doing what I want to do?”

So over the past year I have been taking screenwriting classes, building community with screenwriters, and doing informational interviews with folks working in the industry. Last week I found out that I am a quarter-finalist in a very competitive NBC television writing fellowship.

In order to work on a television show you have to live in Los Angeles, so it is bittersweet when I tell you that I’m moving to Los Angeles in next month.

I’m so grateful for my time in DC and for being able to work with each and every one of you amazing humans!

But I don’t want to leave you hanging, so I have added two new amazing massage therapists to the Wonder Woman Wellness Team. Dora and Katheryn are available for in-home and office appointments. Check out their bios and services.

If you have any sessions left on a package or gift certificate purchased in the past two years, you will still be able to use those with any members of the WWW Team.

Also for Capitol Hill folks I recommend an amazing massage therapist named Tracie Turnipseed for office appointments as well. Her website is geared towards prenatal and postnatal clients, but I can attest you don’t need to be in one of those groups to receive a terrific massage from her.

I will be seeing DC clients for in-your-home appointments through Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Of course I will be continuing my massage practice on the West Coast, so feel free to share my contact info with your community out there.

If you have questions, or just want to drop me a line, I’d love to hear from you. Again a big thank you and a deep bow to all of my DC clients and friends.

Here’s to dreams, new beginnings, and it never being to late to make a change!
